Egger Pumps release new TEO impeller for aerated sludge

Egger Pumps from Switzerland have developed the new TEO impeller, which is a design enhancement to their TURO recessed impeller and evolved from a requirement in the automotive industry to pump highly aerated emulsions with metal chips.
The new TEO impeller is designed to fit an existing Egger TURO pump casing and to overcome restrictions when pumping highly charged liquids with high solids content and entrained air. After extensive research and development, the TEO impeller now provides municipal and industrial operators the ability to pump solids and solutions of up to 15% entrained air or gas.
The TEO configuration is now finding application in wastewater industries pumping aerated sludge, DAF plants, activated sludge, etc. Application has also been found in the solar panel industry, where aerated solutions of silicon carbide (an abrasive solid), is required to be pumped to recovery tanks.
