SALSNES – Wastewater Filter System

The Salsnes filter from Norway is a self-contained, primary and secondary treatment system for integrated separation, thickening and dewatering of municipal and industrial wastewater. Compact in design and capable of removing suspended solids as fine as 15 to 30 micron, this unique state-of-the-art technology challenges traditional treatment methods and is available at a comparatively low capital cost.

Fully automated and with a very small footprint, installation of Salsnes Filter can save on major infrastructure investment and space. It will remove high percentages of TSS and particulate BOD in wastewater, which for most municipal applications means removal of 40-70% TSS and 30% BOD. The captured sludge is reduced in volume by way of integrated dewatering system, producing 25-40% solids in dewatered screenings.

Capacity Range:Four sizes available for flow rates up to 140 litres per second.

Materials:Constructed in all 316 or 314 stainless steel materials depending on the requirements.

Applications:Municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge applications such as primary treatment, secondary treatment, manure dewatering, membrane pre-treatment, as well as fishing, food and dairy, pulp and paper industries.
